I went with another American this time for my latest ‘Night Cruise’ series design (‘Night Cru
ise #4')

...this one should be pretty obvious! ;)
We’re talkin’ early Corvette C4 on this one! I believe the one in the reference pic I used was a 1983 or 1984, so an early one!

I’ll probably go back to my Euro roots for the next one....or maybe something JDM...?

I like these. Easy sell if you ever do a 13 Boss.

This one turned out very nice! I really like these and you're getting better with every design.

I’ll have to put it on my potential list! :D

I’ll have to add it to my potential list! I tend to do older or classic stuff, but the Mustang is pretty iconic!

Would most likely be an 84, since the 83s were never sold since GM didn’t have them ready in time. All but one of the test mules were destroyed. That one was spared the crusher through dumb luck according to the guy responsible for crushing them (or so he says). It now resides in the Corvette museum in Bowling Green.

Cool. The red and black with the vette turned out really well, so just thought it might look good in that style.

Thanks! I already have another one done to post up in the next day or two! :D
Not American this time, though...pretty much the exact opposite of the Corvette...

For sure! This is the first time I did red and it turned out very well!

Hmm, exact opposite of a Corvair would be slow, small, and useful. Is it a Land Rover Defender?

Pininfarina printed a full-page ad i n the trade press back in the 80s that looked a lot like that. Ferrari 308, with a narrower band of red than you have, so just the upper silhouette line showing, in the middle of a big black page, and text written really small in the bottom corner of the page: “ La Linea Pininfarina”.
I kept a copy of it as a poster for years.

Yay for learning! I didn’t know that! I just knew they started production in ‘83! :)

Well, you got the first two right, and the third would depend on your definition of useful! :P
It IS something fun though! :D

Classic Mini? I am feeling a British theme.

Oh, cool! Do you have a picture of it? :)

Well...it IS right-hand drive...

SUBARU 360?!?!
Or, if you go the offroad route, an old Nissan Patrol would be right at home in this series.

Not a 360, but you’re on the right track...you’ll just have to find out :P

Unfortunately, n o. I lost the ori gi nal in a m ove and I ’ve never been able to find a copy online: advertising is transient.
It was a real drop-the-mic image though: the 3x8 is Pea k Ferrari for me in an appearance sense, and when you reduce it to just t he key lines it’s just stunning.

That’s unfortunate! Yes, I agree, I always thought it was one of my favorite Ferrari designs...
